Soaking tub on Vacation

I took a soaking tub on vacation to Northern Michigan last week. My five grandchildren, my two daughters, their husbands, and myself enjoyed the soak looking out onto beautiful Mullett Lake, near Indian River, Michigan. Sunrises were incredible, and the moon rising in the east at night was an awesome way to enjoy the soothing, health inducing relaxation of the Japanese Style Soaking tub. The owner of the log cabin we renting could not believe his eyes that a renter brought his own hot tub up, set it in place on the patio, filled it with a hose, and plugged it in and started using it. He bought it at the end of the week and would not let me bring it home. He will rent the tub to the next people to occupy that log cabin.

Amazing Soak

Well, I am now further hooked on soaking than before. I have soaked daily (almost daily) for 35 years. Now have have a Hyoga Cold Plunge installed right next to my Furo III. Going from very hot to very cold water certainly wakes you up. I noticed an immediate rush of energy after going back and forth three times. The cold was 45 F. I felt highly energized all day long. I went in three times each, two different times yesterday!

A friend of mine is studying the many health benefits of going from hot to cold, and apparently the immune system is positively stimulated, and internal organs are stimulated producing an overall increase in healthy functioning. So far, I am impressed.

I am planning to continue to utilize the hot/cold shock eliminate shock therapy, and see what kind of other benefits I can identify.

Hot Soak to Cold Plunge

WOW! Japanese hot soak in combination with a cold plunge: PURE EXHILIRATION!
I have been soaking in a Japanese style tub for over 30 years and today I did my first hot soak to cold plunge. The experience is exponentially more in every aspect. The deep body relaxation of the hot soak married the jumpstart feeling of the cold plunge. I started in the 112 degree Japanese soaker and stayed long enough to get a good sweat going. I hopped from there to the 45 degree cold plunge. WHOA! My entire body snapped alive. I could feel my breath become more rapid and my heart rate increase. I stayed in the cold plunge for 90 seconds maybe, two minutes. I jumped back into the Japanese soaker. The heat pounded the cold deeper into my muscles and joints. As I sat sweating and breathing deeply I knew something had just happened. The Japanese soak that I love just got better.

harley davidson to the hot tub

I rode my Harley Davidson Fat Boy 100 miles tonight, and got home at dark. Walking up to my back door, I started to pass by the Japanese Style Soaking Tub. I knew what was in there, so I stopped, took off my clothes, and got into 112 degree water, up to my chin. The water was clean and chemical free, and I really unwound from my day, and my Fat Boy ride. What peace, comfort and joy comes from hot water. It is the best!
